Rima Sater – Negative Space Exploration In A Positive Atmosphere
Negative Space Exploration In A Positive Atmosphere is a work in progress and experimentation that explores themes of grief, time & memory, escapism, and existence (or lack thereof). In this initial stage, I have compiled a series of videos highlighting shapes, colour and light that create simple, yet sometimes absurd, daily scenes in which we exist and create meaning.
This installation invites the viewer to contemplate how these themes and the act of being present in everyday life allows us to process the world.
Exploración del espacio negativo en una atmósfera positiva es una obra en desarrollo que explora las temáticas del duelo, el tiempo, la memoria, la evasión y la existencia (o su ausencia). En esta etapa inicial, he compilado videos digitales de figuras, colores y luz que crean escenas simples y absurdas a las cuales podemos asignarles significado.
Esta instalación invita al espectador a contemplar cómo estos temas y el acto de estar presente en la vida cotidiana nos permiten procesar el mundo.
