Artist in Residence Program is a international artistic residency at Espacio Lavadero, a creative space based in Granada (Spain), whose objective is to accommodate contemporary artistic creation, supporting the current artistic sector of international emerging art.
The residence offers work space and an exhibition space. Our space provides a comfortable place, based on coexistence and community, with work areas and an exhibition room for specific events.
The residency program is located in the center of the city of Granada, a city with a great historical heritage and a culture based on diversity. An ideal place to explore and create, with access to local archives, libraries, museums, theaters and the university.
Granada is an ideal setting for creation, being a multicultural, open and accessible city. Its location places us close to neighborhoods and enclaves full of inspiration, such as El Albaicín, El Realejo, La Alhambra, Sierra Nevada or La Alpujarra.
Since 2021 there are many artists who have passed through our residence to develop their projects, here you can see the archive of the artists and also their creations.
